Warner Brothers have been sued by various piano companies across the globe, accusing it of portraying pianos in a bad light. The CEO of the Pian-Oh! Company, a Mr Pi-Ang, decried WB; saying "[it] creates the idea in impressionable kids that pianos are only good for dropping on pigs and ducks". Estimated costs of pianos destroyed by WB in its production is more than $127 million, with pianos appreciating in value, one senior officer said. WB is appealing.
"Of course we're appealing," a WB official said. "No one can resist Looney Tunes!"
Renowned scientists Doyew B. Liev has made a medical breakthrough in science. By growing embryos of different animals in petridishes, and "mixing and matching" the two, he has succeeded in patenting a method to implant organs of animals into other, for example, a parrot's wing onto a pig's torso. Dr. Liev comments that "[it] was easy", and is awaiting his nomination for the Nobel Prize for Literature.
Pro-choice-for-life activists, however, were not pleased.
In sports, pundits betting on the local football club Kick Ballz Kickzorz Ballzorz (KBKB FC) were pleasantly surprised, when KBKB beat heavy favourite Manchester United 4-0. "It was a thrashing", United's key player, Ruud van Nisterooy, conceded. Unfortunately, no pundits bet on the actual result, and thus many were left fuming in anger and disbelief, and some resorted to chipping away their nearby betting kiosks with metal spoons.
"*** *** ***!" spat a Mr. Gan. Mr. Nee followed suit, decrying the luck of a Mr. Nah who bet the wrong way around.
